Local music - Vive la Fête
In the line of watching musical performances, I decided to not be lazy sunday evening and walk down my street to the market where the "Bruis Maastricht" festival was taking place. All day there was music, but I was very occupied with... cleaning my room O_o haha so in the end I only watched the last show of the day: Vive la Fête, together with Lauran, Anne and Tim (and ofcourse, there was whole hip Maastricht :P with many familiar faces :) ). I must say, it was not bad at all! I had heard some of their stuff but was never really interested (and am still not interested I must admit), but to see them live was a nice entertainment of sunday evening! And ofcourse now I understand the fascination of many men (and some women) with this band, because the singer is a hot, big-breasted, "blonde", moaning, french-singing chick hehehe. And after a while we found out that she can also sing, as opposite to just abusing her voice :P But I liked all the electronic stuff the best ;), not so much the singing hehe..
I'm glad that Maastricht is putting a little effort into staying (and becoming more) cultural. Especially with something different than just another Maastricht, Dutch-singing band. (Although the Jazz festival and the Parcours and things like that are ofcourse very much appreciated!) And to be able to just walk down my street on a nice sunday evening and enjoy some music, meet some friends, well... it's not too bad!
These pics from some other performance.. (maybe when Sander puts his pics from thís performance online, i can steel them :P)
