The good thing about the acts that i liked most at Lowlands is that they were actually better in real life than on cd/mp3. That it is somehow not possible to capture the magic of their performance, how they personalise their music on stage, on a recording.. Maybe also because i have a bit of a taste for raw, emotional music hehe. That's also why i like Tom Waits so much, because his voice can give you cold shivers running down your spine. I can't imagine how he would sound live..

Lowlands 2007

What was good about Lowlands 2007..? Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Killers, Damien Rice, Chris Cornell (my Lowlands-saver ;) great voice and rockyness), the singer of After Forever, Games in concert with the singer of After Forever :P, The Eternal Children leading me to Anthony, Marike, even the Kaiser Chiefs were not that bad (standing in the pit a bit less nice :P but where else would you want to be than right in front jumping for every act? :P), the weird people, the even weirder friends :P, the food, the great great atmosphere, the sun, the bit of rain, the bits of drum&bass and 90s music, the 60.000 people on a little bit of ground (dargh! :P), & the relaxedness :) :) :)
